Select Car Leasing joins forces with MotorEasy to provide peace of mind and protection to UK motorists.

Select Car Leasing has announced an exciting new partnership with MotorEasy, designed to provide UK motorists with enhanced protection and peace of mind.

The collaboration marks a significant expansion of Select’s value-added services, delivering a comprehensive range of car protection and maintenance products to both its new and existing customers.

The first set of products to launch include Lease GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection), Cosmetic, Alloy, and Tyre insurance.

Lease GAP Insurance covers the shortfall between a main insurer’s payout and the outstanding balance still owed on a lease agreement in cases where the vehicle is declared a total loss. Designed to counter the affects of depreciation, Lease GAP Insurance helps avoid the stress and upheaval from an insurance write off, protecting the customer from financial loss by topping-up their main insurer's payment.

From November this year, every customer who leases a vehicle with Select will be given the option of 30 days free GAP Insurance. 

Alloy Insurance, starting at just £6.50 per month, covers the cost of wheel rim repairs, while Cosmetic Insurance protects against scratches, dents, and other bodywork damage. Both products help to avoid expensive “excess” fees when claiming on minor damage through a main insurer, while also preserving a no claims bonus and avoiding the risk of increased insurance premiums in subsequent years. They can also provide particular peace of mind against potential damage penalties when returning a vehicle at the end of a lease agreement.

Tyre Insurance will also cover damaged or punctured tyres, including run-flat and performance tyres.

Warranty cover will follow as the next product, offered as an add-on protection for cars on lease terms that exceed their original manufacturer cover period. Subsequent phases will see vehicle servicing and repairs added to the mix.

Select customers will also get access to a dual-branded version of MotorEasy's unique ‘Digital Garage’, which provides a central location for a car’s history and documentation, helping motorists manage, protect, and maintain their vehicles at discounted rates.

Adding to the offering, Select and MotorEasy will look to offer warranty solutions to customers who are either on contracts longer than three years or who are leasing a used vehicle. Discounted, ad-hoc vehicle servicing solutions are also earmarked for roll-out further down the line.
